Kitchen Trends to Let Go Of
Kitchen trends come and go. And there are some that seem like they are trying to stick around, but according to designers, they should be let go. Here are the kitchen trends to let go of in 2019.
- Glossy Finishes
- White Kitchens
- Rose Gold
Shiny surfaces tend to make a kitchen blinding. So when cabinets or countertops have a glossy finish they reflect all the light double and tend to have colder tones. If you have this in your kitchen, you don’t have to redo it. Just warm up the space with plants, matte decor, and pottery.
All-white kitchens tend to have a similar effect as glossy finishes. When everything is white, it can be so bright people have to shield their eyes from being blinded. It can also have a hospital feel to it. If you have an all-white kitchen, don’t fret! Just brighten up the place with brightly colored decor such as a teapot, colorfully designed cutting boards, plants, and canvas artwork throughout.
Rose gold accents were popular for a bit but not anymore. There’s no particular reason for the finish to not be trendy anymore, it just got overrun by copper, black, brass, and pewter.
