How to Decorate Your Tiny Kitchen

Tiny kitchens are usually much more efficient than large kitchens because they have to be. There isn’t as much storage or counter space, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be decorated. Decorating your tiny kitchen takes some organization, but it can be done. Here are some tips on how to decorate your tiny kitchen.

  1. Use Organizing to Your Advantage
  2. Organizing your tiny kitchen can be difficult because many people want to keep all of their kitchen tools and gadgets. Getting rid of things you don’t need and only keeping what you do is key for organizing your tiny kitchen. When you are organized it is much easier to decorate. When decorating your tiny kitchen, use practical things such as jars and canisters to hold baking ingredients. You can put these jars and canisters on open shelves up high and out of the way. Use a pegboard to hang your pots and pans or a hanging bar on the wall behind your stove for cooking utensils. Using these techniques will help you save space and decorate at the same time.

  3. Decorative Rugs
  4. Rugs are a great way to add some color to your tiny kitchen without taking up space. You can put one rug at the sink and one under the kitchen table, but make sure these two rugs work together.

  5. Hideaway Seating
  6. If you have room for eating at the counter, hideaway seating can be decorative and useful. Choose a swivel chair that goes well with the theme of your kitchen. The swivel chair can easily be pulled out from under the counter and put back in when not in use.

  7. Display Collections
  8. By displaying dish or vase collections, you can save some cabinet space for things that you don’t want to be seen. Add simple shelving in front of a window if possible. The light coming in from the window will make the collection look beautiful and add style to your tiny kitchen.

  9. Add Some Color
  10. Painted kitchen cabinets or walls can instantly add color to your tiny kitchen. If you’re unsure about painting your own kitchen cabinets, check out Sound Finish’s easy way to paint your kitchen cabinets.

My cabinets are 32 years old, after Gleam Guard I use nothing but water to clean them and they look beautiful!
Mrs. Williams
I am not exaggerating when I say it looks like I just spent $15,000 for new kitchen cabinets and misc. wood trim. The kitchen cabinets were originally made to custom fit this house and to have them replaced would have been extremely expensive!
